Now you can set default lookup views.<\/p>\n<p>You can define and save a default lookup view for your master records by selecting the Set as Default View option from the View menu or using the right-click menu in the lookup window. The default view you select will be the view displayed when you open the lookup window the next time.<\/p>\n<p>You can set a default view for the following lookup windows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Items lookup window<\/li>\n<li>Accounts lookup window<\/li>\n<li>Employees lookup window<\/li>\n<li>Customers and Prospects lookup window<\/li>\n<li>Salespeople lookup window<\/li>\n<li>Vendors lookup window<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The default view is saved on a per user, per company basis.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the master record window, here we will use the customer card for our example<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.terrcon.com\/tips\/images\/009-01.png\" alt=\"Change your default Lookup preferences\" width=\"501\" height=\"429\" border=\"0\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click on the magnifying glass by the customer ID<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.terrcon.com\/tips\/images\/009-02.png\" alt=\"change your lookup preference\" width=\"494\" height=\"303\" border=\"0\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Select the column header that you want your default view to be<\/li>\n<li>Click on the white down arrow highlighted by the red arrow above<\/li>\n<li>Select Set As Default View<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also select to Exclude Inactive Customers!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tired of always having to change your lookup preference in Dynamics GP?
